Jane Rogers has performed with countless historical instrument orchestras and chamber music ensembles in the United Kingdom and Europe. She is currently principal viola with the Dunedin Consort, the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra, the King's Consort, the English Baroque Soloists and Retrospect Ensemble and is violist in the Amsterdam String Quartet. Jane teaches the Baroque Viola at the Royal Academy of Music, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Birmingham Conservatoire. She has appeared on over 200 CD recordings as soloist, chamber musician and orchestral player, several of which have received Gramophone Awards. Her passions include knitting as well as 20th century English string repertoire, and organ music written before 1750 and played on original organs.
